Welcome to the second edition of the CIOCO2 conference!

Why?
The IT and telecom industry today accounts for over 2% of all carbon dioxide emissions and 9% of energy consumption in Europe. The amount of data in society is rising and with it an increased need of servers and data centers worldwide. They in turn need hardware, cooling systems and energy.

We often see IT as one of the solutions to the climate crisis.  We believe that we can drive the society forward with innovation, but we can not do it without sustainability as a central part of all decisions regarding IT. We also believe that all companies in Sweden need to understand how much resources their IT use requires, with a full life cycle approach. Here CIOCO2 will play an important role.

"We as leaders in the IT industry must become part of the solution to this problem and together find how we can use the opportunities within IT- development and innovation to create a sustainable future."
- Pernilla Ramslöv - CIOCO2 Founder
